Mark Rodger

Mark Rodger

Mark Rodger is in his 20th year as the athletic trainer for the Gamecock men鈥檚 basketball team after spending three years at East Carolina prior to his time Columbia.

In addition to providing medical coverage for the men鈥檚 basketball program, Rodger oversees a graduate assistant athletic trainer who works with the men’s tennis and men’s golf programs.聽 Furthermore, he serves as a preceptor in the athletic training education curriculum program at South Carolina.

A certified member of the NATA聽(National Athletic Trainers’ Association), Rodger holds several additional certifications such as Corrective聽Exercise and Performance Enhancement Specialist, Graston Technique, Kinesio Taping, Blood Flow Restriction and Dry Needling.

Rodger received his bachelor鈥檚 degree in exercise science with a specialized concentration in athletic training from the University at Buffalo in 2001. He attended graduate school at South Carolina, where he earned a master鈥檚 of arts and teaching degree in physical education in 2003.

Rodger is a native of Berlin, Germany, and is married to the former Jordan Allonier.聽 The couple have twin boys, Grayson聽and Cameron.
